set up a simulaiton so the player shoots 20 shots, then repeat it 25 times to simulate a 25 game season.

You can use the Random Number generator in the Analysis ToolPak add-in. Go to Tools --%26gt; Data Analysis. If you don't have that menu item, then you will need to activate the add-in. Go to Tools --%26gt; Add-ins and check Analysis ToolPak.

Open the Random Number Generation tool. For Number of Variables put 25 (number of games). For the Number of Random Numbers put 20 (number of shots). The distribution should be Binomial, the p-value is 0.5, and the number of trials is 1.

That will generate 25 columns of 20 random 0's and 1's to simulate 25 games with 20 shots per game. 0 is a miss and 1 is a make. You can change the p-value to alter the probability of success.
